There is no 10Ω resistor in the one π loudspeaker. There is a 16Ω resistor, but it's in parallel with the tweeter so it doesn't attenuate it. The shunt resistor provides a little bit extra damping, and works sort of like a Zobel. The tweeter has a 12Ω impedance peak at 650Hz and this resistor reduces that peak. Without it, more low frequency energy than wanted would be developed across the tweeter.
