I owned a pair of (now discontinued) DE25's, with a mylar diaphragm that looked like half a golf ball. They were flat and crisp, even without EQ or processing. Smoothest 1" drivers I'd heard at the time, despite the use of a mediocre passive crossover. If you can afford the difference, you won't be disappointed!
