Hello all
as you may well know, ive been modeling basshorns, and have built one. 40hz with 8"

Well now im getting through some serious CAD work and have realised, that physics have beaten me-or i cant bend the rules.. :-P

I cannot have a 26hz basshorn in the volume i want ~350litres :-(

320L = 30hz only. those extra 3-4 hz just Double the cabinet volume.80cm extra length, and corresponding large increase in mouth.

And im talking highly compromised corner horn with Midbass wobble..

so this is it=

Perhaps my friend who likes a little to much of the hard spirits will enjoy the 25hz horn in his sleep-out 'flat' ,he has space underneath the floor for a large horn.

and yes SPL meter arrives SOMETIME after christmas..dad kindly paid for it with his credit card,i think the basshorn may max it out at 125db+ in the car...

only 1 car i know of will fit the 320L horn :p

Its all very serious stuff!

Thanks to all..you can see my n00b questions at the AA forum :-)

-im off to sleep now, then work for those $ for audio... :-)
Obsessed? to the point of insanity!

I cant wait til i can afford horn system like Adrians...il just need some Decent music to play on them LOL...

and right now am thinkn how to avoid this-

and use screws only for the flare, while glueing the side panels with glue and a few tack-nails only..

and ALSO how to cut the wood myself with a circular saw to save $$$ :-S

and heres the ugly woofer i nearly used on the horn,im glad i didnt the cone bends like a paper cup

it does a 10khz sinewave okay lol, anyone want it ? :P 1970s philips retro midbass Fs woofer..i might make a midbass box for it someday,,and sell for a few $ (not many :P )

Merry xmas ~ Cheers!
