My lab partner is from Bengali. For a year I asked questions about his home and he was very gracious about answering. One day we were at lunch and he made a confession. He and his extended family of untold nos. of people all saved up money back in India and went out and bought an old Fender Stratocaster. Evidently they were expensive over there. They took turns playing it, their favorite artist, Jimi Hendrix. They had a radio station there that played all rock from the 70's. The global village.
