It's super cool. They're passing on their wisdom. Garner is a wise old sage, in a real-world kind of way. "Rockford" gets rich, then becomes a dad, then a grandfather. 
Dennehy has weathered well, and plays a wealthy farmer/landowner that still works hard. I can't tell you much more, 'cause I don't want to spoil it. But you'll love it for sure.
