'Been reading about this new Guy Maddin film coming out called
The Saddest Music In The World. There's info in the film
available elsewhere but what it got me to thinking about is
something I had recalled for some time when I had a radio show
in the 80's.
I can't image how Guy Maddin did not tap The Boulevard of Broken
Dreams Orchestra for this film.
Just like it sounds, the Dutch ensemble of 16 musicians and
a vocalist sing all sad and maudlin songs (in English.) We got the
LP as a promo and according to the website below it is available
again on cd for your dining and dancing pleasure. ;-)
