So some people have already used a basshorn in a car ;-)
but did they hornresp it! no sealed rear chamber,so horn must be a little longer for same low freqs.
"149.6db DEATHMATCH Score, Average over 5 minutes!!!!
"

150db is what i would expect from a horn that models 135db in 2pi space.
But i know a guy using 1x15"DDaudio woofer to get 152db on just a ported box! amazing. doesnt sound good though :P

so it comes to the issue of MY horn..
i have 3 driver options
DPL12
Lab12
Shiva
The shiva is the cheapest, its response is much the same as the lab12. 16mm xmax-which provides extra buffer against 30hz sinewaves at full power at unloaded portion of horn :P
the lab12 most expensive, beefiest magnet, and is designed for horn loading.has the least xmax of only 11mm or so.
dpl12 has low Fs 15mm xmax, looks cheap and is probably only average quality. models 2db louder on the same horn as the other 2.
as soon as money is organised, 33hz basshorn will begin!
+ 350w plate amp.

Cheers!
