You're exactly right, Dave. We have a Klipsch dealer here in Tulsa, and they still have some Klipschorns on display. But that is rare.

I thought I heard a hurdy gurdy in a movie soundtrack recently. Check it out and tell me if you know whether it was a hurdy gurdy or not.<
I watched "Soldier" tonight. Turns out I'd seen it a couple of years ago, just forgot the name. Good movie. Right after the scene where the soldier rescues a civilian from being blown into a big, spinning squirrel cage type fan during a wind storm is the song you are asking about. The song is Loreena McKennitt's "Night Ride Across The Caucasus" It features a hurdy-gurdy. Good catch as I missed it when I watched the movie a couple of years ago (to caught up in the action, I guess.
