I know; believe me most musicians could care less about expensive or high quality audio. But they can tell if something sounds good or not; otherwise, how could they play?<

I swear I know a few musicians who just read the music and play what's in front of them without really hearing much of what's going on in the rest of the performance. As far as that goes, I've played many gigs where I can't even hear much more than the instruments on either side of me. Didn't detract much from the pure enjoyment of performing. Didn't seem to bother the other musicians much, either. Musicians rarely get to hear the music from a good vantage point like the audiance can. They still enjoy the music as much as anyone. They just listen and enjoy on a different level than the audiance does.
