I built a speaker using a TAD 1602 and 4001 that sounded very nice. Internal volume was 3.7ft³ and port 3 1/2" x 6 3/16" and 4 13/16" long. Mine used a flush mount 500Hz tweeter horn with 600Hz crossover. When considering acoustic and electrical slopes, it turns out to be a 2nd/5th network, which sums flat to +/- 1dB.
