When you shake the amp (lightly) with reverb on, do you hear the familiar reverb spring noise? If not, the wires may have broken inside. That's a pretty common symptom. They usually break at the jack, but sometimes at the transducer itself.
You can test using an ohm meter. Disconnect the tank wires from the amp end, being sure to label the wires first so you can put them back where they belong. Measure the resistance from the center pin to the shell of each plug. One side should read fairly low, around 8Ω or so. The other should read between 100Ω and 1KΩ, but neither matters as much in value except that neither should be open. If either plug reads open circuit, chances are one or more of the tanks internal wires has broken, a transducer has opened, or the external connection is bad (loose connector, bad cable, etc).
