Using "normal", lower voltage and ready available PT is a good thing... especially when you (me, in fact must wait custom PT for months.
IMO - hibrid bridge PS is a good idea, with small value input cap (say <1 µF or so) you can "tune" the voltage output.
I`d built it like this: hibrid bridge - small cap - "input" choke (say 10H/250mA) - "double" electrolitic wired in series, say 200+200µF/500V=100µF/1000V, with "eq" resistors, say 2*100k/5W. Then additional LC filters, one for the right, one for the left channel, say 5-10H + 47µF motor-run cap.
IMO - it is wise that all components (chokes, caps...) can stand 1000V DC...
For the DC filaments supplies, maybe it`s better to use additional small PT.
IMO, YMMV, good luck, be carefull of HV and all of that...
