I lived with B&W DM 12's for years. They have a specific sweet spot regarding position, level and equipment. If you find the right parameters they are excellent; very revealing but not etched and glassy. Smooth and musical. Extraordinary definition. I hear them occasionally because they are still around and I still like them.
Can't use them with cheap amps though; they need refinement. And they do have a slight upper mid-bass hump.
