Some things that people do are so shocking that it is difficult to see them as human. But when I begin to think this way towards a person, I find myself advancing towards the darkness I objected to in them. You know what I mean?
I'm not saying that I have any compassion for this man, far from it. But I am saying that I always have to stay on guard from becoming dark, myself.
I think you probably have the best reaction. Pray for them, as well as for yours and mine.
