Thanks for the tips, Wayne. Unfortunately, I don't have a scope or signal generator, but I do have a good multimeter. I just heard from Frank that Nelson is mailing me a new selector switch! Yay! I'll be working on the tube sockets and various snubber schemes. The overall layout of this amp is very good from what I can tell, and the size and quality of the coupling caps are good. I'm not sure what to do about the caps in the NFB loop...the amp certainly works without them. Maybe some tuning by ear after the switch is installed.
