I just saw this thing at Tiger Direct. No clue as to whether it's
worth the dough but it has solid 5 star reviews from buyers.

I figured you'd know a scam from an actual functioning device.
True that the software content is unknown, but I've put off ripping
LP's for a long time due to setup problems and quality of
sound. For instance, the review info says the software will
split tracks. I have Audiograbber which is supposed to do
that but it never worked right.
