Our wood horn tweeter is the product of literally hundreds of hours of development time. I had a basic shape fairly early on, but we made lots of prototypes and tests to get it right, particularly the throat transition. We also had to work out production details, which are not trivial. The table hold-down is important, because the cutting head makes hundreds of passes and the part can't move while it's being cut. The wood stock is completely modified in the manufacturing process, so finding a way to hold it in place is tricky. There were lots of details to work out in this project.
