Have you ever experienced scenarios where the player either has trouble reading or loading the discs? I have always thought that this is often a mechanical problem. What should I do if such a problem keeps recurring? I have used a lens cleaner (several times before) for a quick fix.

It will probably shock you to hear that I've never had to bother with my DVD player, apart from the routine cleaning of the lens. Countless times, I've heard people talk of certain brands being prone to damage but I have never been able to verify this.
