Does anyone here own a wireless home theater system? This looks like the way to go. Is it true that there is a higher likelihood of malfunctioning in comparison to the usual home theaters?

I don't mind wireless for surrounds but I wouldn't use it for mains.

Wayne, by mains do you mean the dvd player and so forth? I heard someone mention that too. He had to replace the DVD player lens after a few years. Is there a way around this?

No, "mains" are front speakers. Surrounds are speakers placed at the side and rear.

Good point Wayne but just out of curiosity, why not use it for the mains? I'm not so comfortable with the wireless option though I suppose that's where technology's headed.

I run some pretty high-end amplifiers for my mains.
