My daughter has really gotten into playing the guitar and she wants to record herself while she is doing it. What is the best equipment to use for recording this music?

If you want to do it the old-fashioned way, you can use a microphone. Condenser mics are better than the usual ones to capture the voices. Adjust the distance between guitar and mic based on width of room to record the room ambience.

I've heard that acoustic DI recording is better method than using microphones. It works better in capturing various details of the acoustic guitar at different frequencies.
