I have got to get a class like soldering 101 and get this going! sounds like there is a lot one can learn to do on these amps with a little education (like how not to kill yourself replacing a resistor!) Found really nice re-conditioner in MI ---nosvalves.com---very reasonable for labor ( I thought) craig is nutso on Scott stuff--but does other stuff too-----New Question---some of the old vintage amps (the Golden Era the 50-60's???) used 2 recifier tubes instead of one---read something about this one feature makes a killer amp ??? Feedback gentlemen???

One diode only allows half-wave rectification, two diodes allows full wave use. The latter generally reduces hum because the DC component is fuller and the pulse frequency is doubled, making filter component size requirements smaller.
