Hi all! the Broadband over HT lines is being investigated here too!

Plans to send Internet broadband signals down mains electricity cables rather than telephone lines could hit the radio hams whose transmissions were so vital in the aftermath of the Asian tsunami, New Scientist magazine has reported.

Even in this side of the year 2000,the shortwave radio is still important!

Its about money ofcourse...Broadband is very expensive in NZ,and only 10% of people have it compared to ~50% in USA

Cheers

Hi Mike,

I'm concerned about BPL here in America too. I worry that once it is implemented, radio reception in the medium wave (AM) and shortwave bands will be negatively impacted.
