When you used the piezo tweeter what x-over parts did you use on the tweeter ? Thanks again

I didn't use any passive parts in the tweeter circuit. You can modify the crossover point and slope by using a crossover, but in this case, I didn't wan't that.

Is the new replacement piezo from parts express for the 1038 worth considering.? Or is it a totally different bird ???

I haven't found any good replacement piezo's, no. That's why I stopped using them.

The original Motorola parts sounded good, but there were always a lot of cheap Chinese knock offs that gave piezos a bad name. That and the cheapo prosound speakers with a horizontal array of them, those were the worst. But back to the original question, that of individual parts: My experience with non-Motorola (later CTS) piezos has been very bad quality and poor sound.

In other words the Chinese piezo tweeters are about the same Quality as their plywood.
