Wayne, am I misunderstanding the Pi7 baffle cut-out port details included with the Pi7 plans you kindly emailed recently, or is it a different design to the one used by PaulW, as pictured above?

It is different. I used to use a port like pictured in your post, one that I called a "periscope" layout. I changed the port to be bent in an "L" shape, formed with one side piece and two top pieces. It's just easier to make, in my opinion. Both tune the box to the same 37Hz Helmholtz frequency.
