Anybody ever used say an Eminence Alpha 6 or 8 crossed with one of their super tweets (APT-80 or 150) in a pretty small box, thinking about car audio?

Any ideas on how that would sound?

A Studio Series one π speaker is almost exactly that. It's an Alpha 8 and a Motorola KSN 1038 in a one cubic foot box tuned for 55Hz. They sound great, especially considedering their size. They're a little light in the bass, but they are a small, high-efficiency bookshelf speaker, so that's understandable. They're well suited for surround or fill speakers, or as mains in a small listening room - or, as you say, in your car.
