Anyone try one of these? Looks pretty beefy. Reasonablly priced, especially compared to a Beyma CP25 or the JBL types. I have NO commercial interest, just looking for a tweeter to add some air on top of an 811b.

Anyone?

Regards,
Chris L.

Hello Chris,

I have no experience with Ciare tweeters - I think they're fairly new to the US market. I do have experience with several of their woofers, and can say that the specs and frequency response curves have been very reliable (which unfortunately tends to be the exception rather than the rule).

Indeed they do look beefy! $55 for a 150 watts AES power handling 105 db efficient driver that's pretty smooth from 2.2k to 19k, except for a dip at 4 kHz which is not a bad place to have a dip.

Thanks for pointing it out to us! Now you've got my wheels a-turning...
