Hey everyone,
My Sony PS-LX250H turntable has a severe problem, well at least very annoying for auto play. When i press the "start" button, the arm moves normally up to the record, lowers the stylus, then plays it... But unusually 2-3
seconds after the stylus has touched the record, the arm just lifts back up again, gets back in its "off" position, and stops the turntable. Could anyone help?

Thanks

Maybe try a different model. These hundred dollar turntables are never very reliable, and you can expect them to chew up your records as well. I suggest discarding it and getting an entry level Technics or Rega turntable at the least.
