Im considing one of the two for a friend who is interested in an entry level HE speaker project. My question is regarding the two towers and LF performance. The 1Pi tower that Ive seen on Walton Audio website is approx. 2cf vs the 2Pi at 5+cf. They both use an Alpha and the same Vifa. Can you tell me how much more LF response the 2Pi will have and if there are any other advantages to the 10" vs the 8" for the much larger size.
Thanks

Fred Thompson modified the one π design to make a tower, which is taller and has larger cabinet volume. It's a great sounding speaker. I'd say it sounds much like the standard one π and two π speakers from the midrange up (no surprise there) and falls somewhere between the two π and two π tower in terms of bass extension.
