3 Pi or similar for Small room - Near field listening?
Hi, first post here... I'm curious what the thinking is about speaker size as it relates to room size and volume levels. The background is: 1) I live in an apartment and I can't play music very loud (neighbors). I do love music, though. I was a wor...

Re: Speaker stands for Pi 3 or Pi 4
Thank you so much, Wayne! I will build new stands then! I already have two tapped horn flanking subs but I was thinking to build two of your 3Pi subs to flatten the low section of response... Yes, I definitely should change the horns! I think I'll order...

Re: Combo B&C DE250 with Altec 811

Re: 4pi build with stands finally realized
Finally back from work today. I recessed the horns by making a template like this: There was a follower/guidebushing accessory for my handheld router. I made the straight lines in the template first using the router, and stopped before the arc started. ...

Re: 7pi build
The side panels are longer since their angle is greater. When I did the original prototypes, I cut them as shown in the plans. Later, the cabinet shop made a 3D model for cutting the panels and a jig for assembly. None of that really helps much. Wh...

Re: Westerns...
One more that I forgot about. Little Big Man. Starring Dustin Hoffman. A boy and his sister are spared death from and Indian raid on their parents settlers wagon. They're taken in by an Indian tribe as their own. Dustin's character and his sister get separ...

JBL 2012H 7pi midmorn
Wayne, Can you comment on the gains from using the JBL2012H in the 7pi mid horn? In what way does it sound different from the Delta 10? Thank Jeremy

Re: Corner horn listening distance
Thanks Wayne, I interpret that distance as between 9' and up to 13 1/2' from the speaker plane then. Correct? I currently have the listening seat 11 1/2' from the floorstander's I'm using while the Pi7's are being built. I much prefer not being clo...
