ART Arrays Free To Good Home
Its with great sadness that I am going to part with the Art Array speakers I built a while ago. They have served me well for years and I am constantly amazed by the wide soundstage they present. I used them in my home theater without a center channel speak...

Re: Digging out the old (?) ART array - some questions
Thank you, Wayne. I will do. In the meantime I have figured out my mistake when calculating the resonance frequency of the port tube. One needs to use the entire chamber volume (not dividing this by four, as I earlier did) and the equivalent volume ...

Re: Digging out the old (?) ART array - some questions
I didn't mean to ignore you but I've already given my input on this matter. Not sure anyone else has any other thoughts, but if so, I'm sure they'll chime in. In my opinion, it's a great speaker, built as Fred designed.

Re: Line Array Assistance
My preference by far is for a two-way array of woofers with a line of ribbon or planar tweeters. Few speakers can match the scale and dynamic capability of a line array using high quality woofers and tweeters. Unfortunately, a line array using high quality...

Forewatt As A First DIY Tube Project
Waves of nostalgia swept over me as I read about the Forewatt line stage preamp. My first tube component was a Bottlehead Foreplay tube preamp kit, which I used with an NAD solid state integrated amp. The NAD had pre-out and amp-in RCA's so I could substit...

Re: The Fredarrays are Up and Running
The possibility is very good if you're willing to drive to my house, which is off Eldridge Parkway, halfway between I-10 and 290. I still have the Selah Audio XT-8 arrays and the Art Arrays.

Re: ART Arrays for Home Theater
For where the ports are located look here: http://audioroundtable.com/GroupBuild/Projects/ART_Array_Front.jpg You can see where the ports are in relation to the drivers on the front. I would imagine close is close enough when measuring. Here is t...
