Just to give an example of the woes of small builders, I went to a local shop over the weekend of get an ALPS pot. They're selling the 24 step stereo attenuator for just $15 cdn! The shop owner told me that if I plan on doing other projects in the future to stock up because once he's sold out, he can't order anymore. ALPS requires a minimum order size of 1,000 units and he's not big enough to commit to that. Seems like even boutique dealers are having a hard time getting stuff in small quantities.
