About 6-7 years ago I went on a DCC Gold Disc buying spree on eBay. I picked up a number of Miles Davis and John Coltrane for abound $10 each. Most disc were sealed or NM condition. Just looked at the prices some are wanting for these same titles and.....WOW. Hundreds of bucks for some of the titles. Shocked What happened between then and now? I'm kind of sorry I actually opened them up and enjoyed......C

I never really got into the high end CDs but I do have a lot of the half speed masters on vinyl. Many of those were really nice sounding.

They're nice disc and all, but limited by the recording. I'm just not hearing the value. Now, MoFi and other half-speed mastered recordings are exceptional sounding; so, I can see where a premium is justified.....C

I had a friend that only bought the DCC Gold discs. He sold them all a while back for a killing. He couldn't believe what people were getting for them and he wasn't attached to them that much. He's not an audiophile by any means and bought them cuz they were cool looking.
