The ART array kits are now available at a discount from Parts Express. I believe the price will be about $278 versus the $360 regular price for the parts. To get yours, call Scott Placke at PE and tell him you are with the AudioRoundTable and wish to order the ART array kit. Scott R Placke OEM Business Development Mgr. Parts Express Int'l Inc. Phone: 1-866-366-4909 ext.108 Email me for the construction directions (Word file and gif drawings), enclosure drawings, parts list, crossover schematic, etc. I'll be glad to send this information to you even if you're not planning to build a pair but are just curious about them. Scott and I did not discuss how long the discount will be available, so if you're serious about building a pair it's probably not a good idea to wait too long.

The dimensions in the front panel drawing reflect the outside dimensions for the enclosure. The enclosure's outside dimensions are 10"W, 15"D, 64"H. These dimensions are achieved by using panels with the following dimensions: Front and back - 10" X 64". Sides - 13.5" X 64". Top, bottom, and all braces: 8.5" X 13.5".

Hi Fred, Perhaps we could put the document we worked on, together with the box design and crossover layout onto the GroupBuild Forums Projects area. I'm not sure who does this, I assume you need permission from the moderator, etc. Anyone else know?

So far I have responded to more than 20 requests for copies of the plans. For those who actually go ahead and build a pair, please let us know your reaction to their sound. Also, I made a change to the tweeter crossover that I like. With the stock crossover I hear a bit of very high frequence grunge. Adding a 1.5 ohm non inductive resistor in series with the 10uF tweeter cap smooths this out quite a bit. Adding the resistor apparently has little effect on the lower treble, but it attenuates the high treble just a bit. The sound of decaying cymbals, etc, improves quite a bit.

I ordered my kit today from Scott at Parts Express. Total cost was $285 + shipping which comes to $315. I asked Scott how long he would run the special deal and his comment was "forever". As long as we wanted and they had the parts it seems, which is cool.
