Picked up a 42" JVC plasma. WOW. I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but I think that's about to change. I have it wall-mounted, about 5' off the floor. The picture is very watchable from almost every angle in the room. The only problem is now the wife wants to get one for the bedroom, and the hearth room, and the loft, and......C

Excellent! The one in the bedroom - Will it be mounted on the ceiling like in the commercial?

I did one better. I hung the wife on the ceiling and put the HDTV in bed with me. Zene

I still am not sure about getting one. I see all of the hype and the commercials, and I have actually gone in and looked at the picture quality in stores. I admit the picture quality is very impressive, however. I am still waiting for the format to be settled on by the broadcast community. I have heard different dates as to when the standard is to be determined, but that keeps changing.

In the meantime while the broadcasters figure out what they're doing, I assume all the DVDs you watch on HD are noticeably better?

Well, okay. I have a feeling that could eventually be a bit of a problem, then again, maybe not!

We got our first HDTV last May. My mom bought us a 32 inch for our Anniversary and she also bought the wall mount for us. I have to say that I love it but now I need a sound system for that theater effect. We use to have one of those bulky box television sets that took up tons of space and were big dust collectors so it's been nice having the flat screen.

The more I watch things in HD now the more I am wondering why we did not have this sooner, I love it but so far I have only found one channel which I can not find an HD channel to match (a kids show, but still). Confused
