Does anyone know why an MP3 player will work well in one type of car but not another? For instance, with some cars, when you shut the car off the MP3 loses it's place on the song selections, reverting back to track 1 when you turn the car back on.

Are the mp3s stored internally in the car's audio system, or are you using a jack to connect a separate mp3 player? If the latter, I would think that would be more dependent on the player than the car.
