corner horn placement

Besides the obvious fact that it needs to be in a corner, what about
the angle?. From the pictures of some of the 7 pi horns, it looks like
when it is placed in a corner, the tweeter horn axis made a 45 degree
with the front wall. That means that if I sit where the left and
right tweeter axis met, the distance between me and the speakers
would be shorter than the distance between the speakers. I had tried
to place my theater 4 pi in the corner with the same type of placement
and had found that I don't like the sound as much as if they were
pointer outward more. What negative effect would there be if I
were to point the 7 pi speaker outward more so that the angle of
the tweeter axis and the front wall is something like 60 degree?
Would it be better than to build the 7pi with the tweeter horn
in a separate enclosure so it can be turned independently of the
woofer horn unit?
