Cabinet bracing and stuffing


I get asked about bracing and I'm so pleased with the way this bracing turned out with it's insulation:

These are pieces cut with the same saw setting as the tops and bottoms so they fit perfectly and help square the cabinet during glue-up. Because of the double baffle and size of the woofer I made a "U" shaped cut-out. For single baffles where you need the bracing it's easy to make a woofer-sized cut-out and leave it bracing all 4 sides"

Don't forget to brace the top and bottom unless they're double reinforced like the cabinet in the first picture. You can just cut sticks (1X4) from each "shelf" to the top and bottom or better, make another rectangle that fits inside the cabinet vertically and then cut a "half -lap" joint 3/4" groove in each so the fit together and make a square gyroscope looking thing that connects all 6 sides.
