I have been burning in a new set of Svetlana 6BM8s in the Stoetkit Jr. for about a week now.
The tubes are very clean and musical in the Stoetkit Jr. I think the hum is reduced just slightly, although the hum on this amp is very slight to begin with. Vocals on these tubes are very sweet and detailed.
I haven't gone backt to the orginal RFT tubes, but I am thinking they may have a little more punch to them. I can't be sure until I put them in and have another listen.
With either set of tubes this amp is really sweet and detailed. I am still convinced this a great deal for such a high quality amp.
