Well it has been a few days since I added the .022uF caps and eliminated the 150ohm ground resistor. The right channel is noticably quieter, however both channels still have a super slight hum. Haven't measured it yet, but suspect it is 120Hz coming from the supply. While I was in the chassis, I changed the 220ohm to a 470ohm resistor going to the LED. Toned the brightness down and it looks fantastic with the other blue LEDs on my other gear.
I also swapped out my ragtag collection of interconnects with some made with Transparent cable. What a wonderful difference.
Ordered some Svetlana tubes which should arrive shortly!
