I agree with your comments about the Stoetkit being a terrific amp. Great looks, great sound. And with Frank standing behind them, any problems you might encounter are mitigated. I like Heart, but they are across the ocean and it helps having a contact in North America. At any rate, it's the best tube amp under a grand I've come across.
I like your transformer cover bending jig. I did mine one side at a time, but with your clamp the whole thing can be done at once without moving the panel. That looks a lot easier than the way I did it.
One thing I found after taking the PCB out is that the mounting tabs are easy to access when the board is out. In hindsight, I would have put the transformer covers on before mounting the circuit board, and then just used a soft surface like a towel to protect the finish on the transformer covers when the amp is sitting on the workbench upside down while the PCB is installed and connected.
Did you install 0.022uF caps across your power supply diodes? Have you ordered Svetlana tubes?
