If your driving Pi's w/ Paramours...

...try this: set up your output transformer taps like this: Primary-.625w tap (blue lead) to terminal 25 and Secondary- 8ohm tap (white lead) to terminal 24. I tried this last night as per a suggestion from Paul Joppa and was impressed with the change. Bass seemed richer yet well detailed, as was the midrange and the highs were the best I've heard from the Pi's.I would say that richer is not necessarily better except for the concurrent increase in clarity and texture. Of course, the speakers and amps are still breaking in (I'm a firm believer in the break-in phenomenon) so some of this may be coincidental but it is such an easy modification you should try it! It's easy to swap back!
